Selling 4.2 million PlayStation 4 consoles, Sony has outsold Microsoft’s Xbox One, which only sold 3 million consoles in 2013. Both Sony and Microsoft launched their new releases in late November. Not only is the PlayStation 4 $100 cheaper than the Xbox One, but it is also sold in 53 territories and countries while the Xbox is only available in 13 countries.
Next on the list to be released by Sony is the PlayStation Now, which is set to come out this summer in the US.
