WASHINGTON, D.C. NEWS – 13-year-old boy charged for fatally shooting his father

A 13-year-old boy in Columbia Heights was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the death of his father. Travis Dash, 41, was found by District police with multiple puncture wound injuries and died on the scene. 

The 13-year-old will be charged under the juvenile justice system. The shooting took place on Sunday morning and officials have not released any information about what happened.
