Walmart will stop selling Confederate flag items

After the controversy surrounding the Confederate flag following the church shooting in South Carolina, Walmart has announced that it will stop selling all merchandise with the emblem. This decision supports many United States citizens who view the flag as a divisive symbol of racism. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley also announced on Monday that she is in favor of the removal of the Confederate flag from the state’s capitol grounds. Many political leaders in South Carolina, as well as GOP presidential candidates, have shown support for Haley’s declaration.
