The Fairfax County School Board approved a pay raise for public school teachers. Public school teachers’ salaries will increase by 4% under the new budget for the 2025 fiscal year. The change will be effective beginning July 1.
Fairfax County Superintendent Michelle Reid had initially proposed a 6% raise for employees. The board approved the budget in a 3-9 vote.
