California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that will temporarily allow Arizona doctors to perform abortions in California. Under the legislation, Arizona physicians can provide abortion services in California until Nov. 30. This comes after Arizona’s Supreme Court passed a near-total abortion ban.
Newsom said, “Arizona Republicans tried to turn back the clock to 1864 to impose a near-total abortion ban across their state.” He continued, “We refuse to stand by and acquiesce to their oppressive and dangerous attacks on women.”
