The crew of the Dali container ship that crashed into Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge and caused the collapse are still aboard the vessel. One Sri Lankan and 20 Indian men make up the crew aboard.

The crew has remained aboard since the March 26 collapse. Investigators have seized the phones of the crew members. Two unions represent the crew members, the Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union and the Singapore Organisation of Seamen. General Secretary of the Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union, Mary Liew, said in a statement, “The criminalization of seafarers based solely on their position on board a vessel during an incident is a growing concern.”
