22-year-old Charlie Crockett is facing murder charges after police say that he beat his mother, 55-year-old Roberta Crockett, to unconsciousness with a rolling pin. A relative was able to restrain the Prince George’s County man until the police arrived and transported Roberta to an area hospital where she died of her injuries on Wednesday. The Prince George’s County Police Department has charged Crockett with first- and second-degree murder.
