Major water main break in Upper Marlboro forces road closure

A road in Upper Marlboro, Md. has closed after a major water main burst created a sinkhole that swallowed a car. The 30-inch burst occurred late Monday night on South Osborne Road and the damage has forced officials to close the road.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission announced that the road will most likely be closed during the afternoon rush. The break occurred in the 6900 block of South Osborne Road. No one was hurt and the car involved was towed from the scene.
