Entertainment – Misty Copeland lands role in ‘Nutcracker’ movie

Prima ballerina Misty Copeland is making her debut on the big screen in Disney’s forthcoming movie “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.” On her Instagram account, Copeland posted a picture of the script with the caption: “I’m thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom. #TheNutcracker #MoreToCome.” The live-action film was announced back in March and will be directed by Hallstrom. In the film, Copeland will play the role of the lead ballerina in the “Nutcracker’s” only dance scene.
