The National Zoo welcomed Walter earlier this month. The 3-year old screaming hairy armadillo moved from the Cincinnati Zoo to join three other armadillos in the Small Mammal House. Also new to the house are two long-tailed chincillas, a mother and son from the Miami Zoo. Two Greater Malayan Chevrotains, a breeding pair, also relocated to the National Zoo, these from the Bronx Zoo.
