Former FBI agent to undergo psychiatric exam after being arrested

U.S. Magistrate Theresa Carroll Buchanan ordered a psychiatric evaluation for a former FBI agent who was arrested at CIA headquarters after a hostile conflict with security officers. Tunisia Davis was charged with interfering with a federal officer (which is considered to be a misdemeanor), in federal court in Alexandria last week. Davis traveled to NSA headquarters at Fort Meade, Maryland, on Thursday morning and then continued on to the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. According to an affidavit, she had told the National Security Agency officer that she wanted to see what would happen if she just showed up out of the blue. CIA officers had been on the lookout for her, because she told the NSA officer as she was leaving the premises that she planned to go to the CIA next. She was arrested after refusing to follow the instructions of a CIA security officer. One officer said she tried to reach for another officer’s weapon while partially handcuffed and shouted that the CIA could be bombed. Davis was an FBI special agent from 2004 to 2010.
