Prince announces ‘Rally 4 Peace’ concert in Baltimore

Music icon Prince has announced a special “Rally 4 Peace” concert to be held this weekend in Baltimore. According to a Live Nation press release, the concert will be held at the Royal Farms Arena on Sunday, May 10. Tickets go on sale 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at LiveNation.com. Prince also recorded a song entitled “Baltimore” in response to recent civil unrest following the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray. Surprise guests are expected to show up at the concert, and Prince’s new funk-rock group 3RDEYEGIRL will perform. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Baltimore-based youth charities.
