12-year-old fatally shot while playing

According to the father of a 12-year-old shooting victim, the boy was playing with a friend when the fatal shots were fired.

The incident involving another juvenile took place Saturday in the woods near the boy’s Virginia home.

The boy’s father Dan Dixon says his son, Dax, went over to the friend’s house while he was at work.

The shooting is still under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
