Obama using executive actions to help small businesses

0

In several recent measures to act without Congress, President Barack Obama will announce Friday two executive actions on the economy, with the aim of boosting small businesses. With Obama’s jobs bill stalling on Capitol Hill, the President seeks to employ the power of his office in other ways to make a difference. One executive order will shorten the time it takes for federal research to turn into commercial products in the marketplace. This will enable startup companies and small businesses to create jobs and expand at a greater rate.

Obama is also calling for the creation an online site called Business USA, which will allow companies to find information on federal services. Obama has announced two other executive actions this week, one which allowed homeowners to refinance at lower mortgage rates and the other directed at helping college students lower student loan payments.
