A World War II veteran was beaten and left in outside a lounge in Spokane, Washington on Wednesday. Police found 88-year-old Delbert Belton in the parking lot of the lounge with serious head wounds. He died on Thursday.
Lt. Mark Griffiths of the Spokane police said, “It appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault.” He also indicated the incident seemed random.
