Two women escaped with non-life threatening injuries after their SUV plummeted sixty feet off a New Jersey bridge. The Toyota Rav4 was driving east on Interstate 80 when the accident occurred at around 7:15 a.m. Friday. State police spokesman Sargent Jeff Flynn stated that the SUV landed upright beneath the Hackensack River Bridge. It landed forty feet from the river. Firefighters removed the roof and doors and pulled the women out within a twenty minute timespan. They were taken to a hospital, and treated for neck and back pain. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
