Recent Sandusky allegations come from within family

0

One of the two new cases of alleged sexual abuse brought forward by Children and Youth Services was made by a family member of Jerry Sandusky, Sandusky’s attorney says. Attorney Joseph Amendola said, “I know at least one Children’s Youth Services investigation has been opened up by Centre County CYS regarding Jerry’s alleged abuse of one of his (family members). We don’t know for sure. The allegations are ridiculous and unfounded.” He added that they were part of “a very nasty divorce and custody battle.”

The child’s relationship with Sandusky has been withheld to shield the child’s identity. The new case was reported less than 60 days ago, but is alleged to have occurred prior to Sandusky’s arrest earlier this month. If the allegations are found true, they would be the first known cases involving individuals who are currently children.
