Neil Armstrong died on Saturday, at the age of 82. The first man to walk on the moon will have a private service held for him on Friday. There is no national memorial currently planned for Armstrong, who became a more private figure after his historic mission. Armstrong was born in Ohio and lived there most of his life.

The museum of Natural History and Science is offering free admission throughout Labor Day in honor of Armstrong, where viewers can see his Apollo 11 spacesuit and other tools. Armstrong’s family released a statement, stating their hope that the public honors Armstrong’s service, also saying “the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”
