Jackie Burkle, 22, of Huxley, Iowa was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and will be taken to Story County jail. Officials say the Huxley police found that Burkle had given birth at her home as they were called to do a welfare check on Saturday. The newborn twin girls were found dead in a trunk of a car parked outside the house. Burkle will have a court appearance Wednesday. Results of the autopsies will not be available for several weeks.
