Hundreds of Verizon employees strike outside CEO’s house

Hundreds of Verizon employees on strike held a candlelight vigil outside the homes of the companies CEO, hoping to show the differences between the luxurious lives of the executives and the life of their blue-collar workers. The protestors, union members, lit candles, sang songs and chanted outside the CEO’s house in New Jersey.

Approximately 45,000 Verizon workers from Virginia and Massachusetts have been striking since August 7 in an attempt to fight management demands for contract givebacks.
