A four year old girl was left in an SUV Tuesday at the Maryland Live! Casino. Blankets were hung on the rear windows, preventing anyone from being able to see inside the GMC Terrain.
Alicia Brown, 24 of Owing Mills, Maryland was arrested that evening after security staff found her four year old daughter, Ailea Bown, crying inside the vehicle. The child had spent more than eight hours in the vehicle alone before being found by a security officer.
Surveillance cameras showed the vehicle first entering the parking garage around 10 a.m. The child wasn’t found until 6:30 p.m. The mother arrived back at the parking garage more than 30 minutes after the police had arrived on the scene. Brown was arrested on charges of degree child abuse, neglect of a minor and confined unattended child under the age of 8. She was released from jail after posting $150,000 bond. The daughter was taken to a local hospital and no physical signs of abuse were found. She was later released into the custody of her grandmother.
