The family of James DiMaggio is asking for a DNA sample from 16-year-old Hannah Anderson, the girl he allegedly kidnapped last week after murdering her mother and brother. They want to know if DiMaggio is the biological father of Hannah, as well as the father of her younger brother Ethan. Andrew Spanswick, a spokesman for the family, said, “We are going to be requesting from the Anderson family that we try to get DNA samples from Hannah. And if they have anything left from Ethan, that we get a DNA sample.”
DiMaggio’s sister, Lora, made the request, according to Spanswick. The Anderson family released a statement denying the theory. It said, “Brett and Tina Anderson did not meet Mr. DiMaggio until the sixth month of Tina’s pregnancy with Hannah. Brett Anderson’s DNA was used to identify the body of his dead son Ethan Anderson.”
