HBO show ‘Veep’ announced on Thursday that it will move production from California to Maryland after four years. The show, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, will receive a $6.5 million tax credit to film in Southern California. An HBO spokesperson emphasized how important Maryland has been for the network in the past, and hopes the state will be the location of a future project. The show’s move will be a hit to the economy of Maryland, with ‘Veep’ providing work to 3,000 local residents and nearly 3,000 businesses over the past few years.
