A Maryland school janitor is facing charges after being accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 15-year-old teenager.
The victim is a student at DuVal High School in Lanham and Steven Pole, 36, works as a custodian there. The victim informed her mother that Pole had sexual contact with her on and off school grounds; the victim’s mother then called police.
Police arrested Pole in his home on Sunday. He faces charges of third-degree sex offense and second-degree assault. He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
