A man was sentenced at the Prince George’s County Courthouse Friday for the murder of a Virginia activist.

Twenty-eight-year-old Tyrone Lewis was convicted in September and received a sentence of life without parole with an additional 120 years.

According to prosecutors, Lewis and two other men kidnapped the activist, Lenwood Harris in September 2011.  They demanded his ATM card along with his PIN number before shooting him and dumping his body down a well.

Harris of Alexandria was an active advocate for the less fortunate.
