Lawsuit to be approved for electrocuted girl

The parents of 14-year-old Deanna Green have filed a lawsuit against the city of Baltimore for her electrocution. Green was resting her foot against a fence, which touched an underground circuit. Green then placed her hand on a second fence, completing the electrical circuit and electrocuting her.

The lawsuit includes a settlement of $200,000, which the family’s lawyer states is perfectly reasonable. The family filed suit against the mayor and City Council in 2009, with the incident itself occurring in 2006. The settlement is scheduled for approval on Wednesday morning.
