Larry Hogan has won the Republican primary race for governor of Maryland. Hogan is a real estate broker who served as the secretary of appointments in former Gov. Robert Ehrlich’s administration from 2003 to 2007. He focused on economical issues during his campaign, like the tax increase during Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley’s administration. If elected governor, Hogan says he’ll work to get spending under control and see what taxes can be rolled back in the state.
