Democratic state delegate Jon Cardin is launching a campaign for attorney general.
Cardin, who represents Baltimore County and is the nephew of U.S. Senator Ben Cardin announced his candidacy on Monday.
During his announcement, Cardin stated that the next attorney general, “must be aggressive enough and savvy enough to stay one step ahead of anyone seeking to harm our families — whether on our streets or in cyberspace.” He believes his experiences as a state delegate, attorney, and father have prepared him for the job.
Cardin says he will be a strong voice for Maryland residents, who he says have been the targets of injustice.
