According to Los Angeles Police Detective Lyman Doster, actor Michael Jace has been arrested for the fatal shooting of his wife, April Jace. Michael Jace, 51, played a Los Angeles police officer on the TV’s “The Shield,” appearing in 89 episodes. Police received a 911 call from Michael, telling operators that his wife had been shot. According to Los Angeles police, the motive behind the murder is believed to be domestic violence. According to reports, two children were in the home while the shooting occurred—they were taken to a local police department and handed over to California’s department of Children and Family Services. Jace was detained on Tuesday and charged with homicide; bail is set at $1 million.
