Pop star Lady Gaga at first just postponed four of her Born This Way Ball tour dates to give herself time to recover from a hip injury. However, it was later determined that her condition was more serious than initially perceived and would require surgery. As a result she was forced to cancel the remainder of her tour dates.
“After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady GaGa has a labral tear of the right hip caused by strenuous repetitive movements in her performances,” a statement released via GaGa’s website read.
