The release date for “Fast & Furious 7” has been postponed until April 2015 in light of film star Paul Walker’s death.
Universal pictures announced Monday that the sequel, originally set to be released July 2014 will be pushed back a year. Walker, 40, who was killed in a car crash in Los Angeles last month will still be featured in the film.
Filming for the movie was just about halfway done when Walker died and Universal has yet to reveal how it will work around Walker’s unfinished segments.
The “Fast & Furious” franchise has accumulated $2.4 billion since the first film’s release in 2001.
The investigation into Walker’s death is ongoing.
