Fox’s “American Idol” is no longer the most popular show on television. Last week, more viewers were tuning in to watch “The Voice” and “Dancing With the Stars”. According to the Nielsen Co., “American Idol” has been the most popular entertainment program for the past nine years.
“The Voice” had 14.2 million viewers on Monday and 12.8 million on Tuesday, with audiences ranging between the ages of 19 and 49-years-old. “American Idol” had 12.5 million viewers on Wednesday and 11.4 million on Thursday. Viewers here are among the younger demographic.
