Actor Chad Everett died Tuesday at the age of 75. Everett passed away at his home in Los Angeles after a year-and-a-half-long battle with lung cancer. The TV star is most famous for his role in the 1970s series “Medical Center.” But with a career that spanned more than 40 years, Everett also appeared on numerous popular shows like “Melrose Place,” “The Love Boat,” “Murder She Wrote,” “Without a Trace” and, most recently, “Castle.”

Everett is survived by his two daughters, Katherine and Shannon, and six grandchildren. He was married to actress Shelby Grant for 45 years until her death last year.
