Republicans push for bill blocking Planned Parenthood funding

On Wednesday, Republicans pushed for a bill that would block federal funding for Planned Parenthood, despite promises made by the White House to veto it. Additionally, the bill would also repeal increased Medicaid coverage for low-income people. “This is their chance, and President Obama’s chance, to begin to make amends for the pain and hurt they’ve caused” by the statute, which Republicans blame for rising health care costs,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated.
