Thursday evening, Representative Paul Ryan declared his candidacy for the position of Speaker of the House after unified backing from the rest of his Republic colleagues in the House of Representatives. The former vice-presidential nominee for 2012 will face elections on Wednesday and Thursday. Ryan will most likely be elected; however, he will have to prepare for the November 3 deadline to raise the federal borrowing limit and the December 11 deadline to act on must-pass spending legislation.
