11 families could lose their homes as a result of the expansion of Interstate 66. Virginia Transportation Secretary Aubrey Lane stated on Thursday that public meetings in October are unlikely to change the decision for expansion, and expressed his sympathies for the affected homes while restating the importance of such an expansion to the crowded area. Construction for the project is set to begin in 2017 and end in 2021.
