Utah’s Republican Governor Spencer Cox signed a law that requires people to use bathrooms in public schools and government buildings that correspond with their sex assigned at birth. Under the new legislation, new government buildings will be required to include single-occupant bathrooms.

“We want public facilities that are safe and accommodating for everyone,” said Governor Cox. “This bill increases privacy protections for all.”
