A University of Maryland charter bus crashed into a light pole in College Park on Wednesday morning, injuring 30 people. The bus was carrying a total of 56 students when the crash happened. Prince George’s County Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene.
All injuries were reported minor and the 30 that were injured were transported to the hospital. “At UMD, we are focused on caring for the members of our community who were impacted by this incident and are committed to providing our students with support for their medical, mental health, and academic needs,” shared the university administration in a social media post.
