Some Maryland lawmakers are advocating for a new bill that would limit participation in school sports based on their biological sex. The legislation is called the Fairness in Girls Sports Act.

“Transgender girls are girls,” said Frederick County Del. Kris Fair, D-District 3A. “Not all of us come from the same background, however, we are all equal and we deserve to be treated with the same level of dignity and respect. This bill does not do that.”
