White House officials say 81 companies have signed on to the American Business Act on Climate pledge, a promise to advocate for a strong climate deal ahead of final negotiations in Paris next month. Companies that have signed the deal include Intel, Coca-Cola, Monsanto, Google and Walmart. The pledge, unveiled in June, would make companies agree to take steps to limit their carbon emissions. President Barack Obama is slated to meet with executives at a round table at the White House on Monday.
