Actor Alec Baldwin was kicked off an American Airlines flight in Los Angeles for refusing to turn off his mobile device as the plane prepared to depart for New York. The “30 Rock” star was playing “Words with Friends,” a popular Scrabble-like app. Baldwin said on his Twitter account, “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt.”

Baldwin’s spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, said Baldwin boarded another flight. Baldwin added that it would be his last flight with American. American Airlines declined to comment, citing customer privacy concerns. It was not clear if passengers had all been asked yet to turn off their mobile devices.
