There will be a temporary change in public transportation this weekend.

Starting at about 10 p.m. Friday, free shuttle buses will operate in the absence of Metro trains red and orange lines.  The operation will continue on until Sunday.

The red line trains will be replaced between Rhode Island Avenue and Judiciary Square, while orange line trains will be replaced between Vienna and Ballston.  A total of four stations will be closed, and those taking the express bus should anticipate about 15 minutes of extra travel time.
