Atlanta businesswoman Ginger White said in an interview that she and GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain had an affair that lasted nearly 14 years. White describes the relationship as sexual, and says it ended about eight months ago, just before Cain prepared to announce his presidential bid. Cain flatly denied the accusations. While offered her mobile phone records during the interview, which showed Cain had called her as late as September, with one call as early as 4:26 a.m.

Cain preemptively headed off the interview with a statement of his own. Prior to the interview broadcast, Cain stated on CNN’s “The Situation Room” that White’s assertion was coming and would be false. “I acknowledge that I knew the woman,” he said. “I acknowledge that I have known her for about that period of time. But the accusation that I had a 13-year affair with her, no.” White has made previous sexual harassment claims, including a libel suit which she lost, but White’s attorney said she has no financial motive for making her current accusations.
