If Donald Trump asks, House Speaker Paul Ryan says he will not attend the Republican National Chairing Convention in July. Ryan stated, “He’s the nominee. I’ll do whatever he wants with respect to the convention.” Trump and Ryan are scheduled to meet on Thursday in Washington. Ryan clarified his comments about his stance for supporting Trump and said, “I never said never. I just said (not) at this point. I just want to get to know the guy [Trump] … We just don’t know each other.” Ryan believes that a third-party candidate to run against Trump would not be a good idea. Ryan said, “That would be a disaster for our party. I have communicated that to plenty of people.” As Ryan will continue to fill the role at the GOP convention in Cleveland and is scheduled to be there in July.
