Cain suspends campaign

Republican Presidential hopeful Herman Cain suspended his campaign Saturday, which has been under strain in recent weeks due to harassment and affair allegations. Cain had called the allegations “false and untrue,” but said he came to his decision after assessing the impact the allegations were having on his wife, family and supporters. The allegations led to a drop in campaign contributions, and a Des Moines Register poll showed his support had fallen into the single digits.

Cain announced on Saturday a “Plan B,” a website called TheCainSolutions.com, where he will continue to advocate on issues such as his 9-9-9 economic plan. He will endorse another Republican candidate soon.
