No job growth in Aug.; Unemployment stays at 9.1%.

According to a report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, unemployment stayed the same in August, finishing the month at 9.1 percent. The labor market continues to remain weak as there was no net job growth to speak of.

President Barack Obama is expected to create a plan to boost jobs across the nation and will speak to Congress next Thursday. Republicans will offer their own solution to the weak economy as Washington gears up for the 2012 election.
