New York City doctor treated for Ebola

A new York doctor has tested positive for Ebola four days after he returned from treating patients in West Africa. Craig Spencer, 33, an emergency room doctor, had been until recently in Guinea to hep with the response to the virus there with Doctors Without Borders. He is being treated in quarantine in Bellevue Hospital. President Obama has urged New York citizens to support the care of Spencer and any possible future victims and has promised additional support to Mayor de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Three of Spencer’s intimates are being monitored, although they are not displaying symptoms. New York officials have released statements assuring the public that they are prepared to treat the patient and halt the spread of the disease.
