Montgomery County police are investigating an attack and sexual assault that occurred Sunday night on the Capital Crescent Trail. A 21-year-old female jogger was knocked unconscious when she stopped momentarily on the trail near Bethesda. When she awoke she was in the woods near the trail and was taken to the hospital with a serious head wound.
The attacker is describe as a young white man in dark clothing. Police say there is no evidence that this attack is linked to any others.
