Missing Kensington woman found unharmed

Missing woman, Hannah Upp, was located around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, by the Montgomery County Police Department.

She was returned to her family unharmed after she was reported missing Tuesday.

A prior incident in 2008, in which Upp went missing for about three weeks, made her mental stability a cause for concern.

Before she went missing, Upp had cancelled a lunch date with her mother Barbara Bellus and did not show up for work Tuesday.  Upp reportedly suffers from dissociative fugue, which is a form of amnesia.

Captain James Daly commented on her missing persons report as follows: “We can’t jump to the conclusion that this is a repeat or reoccurrence of the 2008 incident.  We have been in touch with detectives in New York.  They’ve been able to provide us with some information and some guidance, which is helping us with our investigation here.”

Upon Upp’s safe return home, police continued to investigate the cause for her disappearance.
