A fiery three-car crash on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County resulted in the deaths of two people. The incident occurred in the northbound lanes early Friday morning, causing significant traffic disruptions as emergency responders worked to manage the scene. The crash led to the closure of all main lanes for several hours, with traffic being redirected to alternate routes.

According to the authorities, the crash also left one person injured, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident. The closure of I-270 caused major traffic delays extending back to the Capital Beltway (I-495), significantly impacting the morning commute for many drivers.
